A Spiritual Journey | A United Purpose | A Heart of Worship
Our youth group takes its name from the Songs of Ascent found in Psalms 120-134. Just as the nation of Israel met together with God on the Temple Mount to worship, we desire that our students would be united in a purposeful journey into a deeper relationship with God and each other by the grace of Jesus Christ.
Join us for worship music and a relevant message on Sunday mornings at 9a. Check out the calendars for all our other events by clicking below! To get more involved, like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram!
Youth Mentors are volunteers who are passionate about youth ministry. They lead our students in discussion and prayer, and they seek to foster relationships of support and Christ-like love with students. Youth Mentors are a great resource for students seeking guidance, prayer, support, or fun. These volunteers are the heart and soul of our ministry to students.
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MENTORS: Tim Fleig, Ernestina Fleig
JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH MENTORS: Josh Robinson, Sarah Fleig, Alexis Pereda
Interested in Becoming a Youth Mentor? If God is calling you to serve at our church, prayerfully consider ministering with THE ASCENT. You will likely find that our students will bless you even more than you bless them! In order to get involved, please fill out an application and submit it to Dale Chamberlain or the church office so that we can arrange an interview.
STUDENT LEADERS (HIGH SCHOOL)
THE ASCENT strong desires to faithfully disciple students with intentionality, equipping them for works of ministry (Eph. 4:12-16). The purpose of this student leadership program is to come alongside students in order to equip them as spiritual leaders and disciplemakers, both within the youth group and in the Church as a whole. We want to be disciples who make disciples.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED: We ask for students to commit to one school year of being in the Student Leadership Program. Of course, students may reapply every year that they are in high school. Throughout the course of the year, we ask that students commit to faithfully attend the leadership training meetings (roughly 8 meetings a semester).
To see the full schedule and to apply, download this application and submit it to Dale Chamberlain, one of the youth mentors, or the church office. Let us know if you have any questions! We would love to speak with you.
