Missionary Updates and Prayer Requests

Mike and Jennifer Berk
Campus Crusade for Christ Director at Cal Poly — Campus Crusade for Christ Director at Cal Poly: The meeting in Feb where Pastor Gene McConnel spoke to the students on the "Power of Porn" resulted in nearly 300 response cards. A speaker brought in from Detroit in conjunction with the African American Center was less well attended. Recently Mike and Jen returned from a Spring break beach outreach at Lake Havasu. Pray for a strengthening of faith amongst those who expressed an interest in Christ and for the continued discipleship Mike is doing with students back on campus and for Jen's dorm Bible study this quarter.

Eunice Castle
EFCM administrator in Russia — Pray for the success of Eunice's support raising. Pray also for her friend Leelya, now a Christian, who struggles with depression and is in need of God's leading in her life.

Bob and Kim Clark
EFCM Church planting in Czech Republic — Pray for the kids in Czech national schools to develop good friends. Kim is teaching Sunday school in Betanie twice a month. Bob is currently leading a midweek children's ministry program and, twice monthly, leads the small group leaders.

Dennis and Barb Danylak
Dennis and Barb Danylak are reaching out to neighbors and other university-trained professionals, and involved in field administration, training of leaders, and preaching and teaching in local churches.

Kevin DeVera
EFC’s Trinity Bible College in Kursk, Russia — Pray for all the practical things needed to start an Evangelical Free church in Kursk. Pray for Kevin's teammates in this new church -Sergei, Natasha, Ruslan, Jenya and Gena.

Larry and Kathy Dunne
Church planting in Ireland — The Dunnes will be here in Diamond Bar on Sunday June 23rd. Their brand new Christian Book Shop, "Good News 4 U" in Westport is now open and providing great opportunities for witnessing and showing the locals they are not a cult. There has been interest shown in door-to-door conversations lately, largely as a result of the revelations of misconduct in the Catholic Church.

Jerry and Karlyn Ehrhardt
EFCM in Japan — God has provided! The needed $1,000,000 plus to buy and refurbish a church building has come in. Jerry and the renovation team plan to be ready for a June dedication. The building is only a couple of minutes walk from the Ehrhardts' rental apartment. At the March Coffee House a Japanese man prayed to become a Christian. Rachel graduates from HS in June and will commence college in Quito, Ecuador this September.

Dave and Lisa Trotter
Campus Crusade for Christ Training Director for Brazil & Africa — Dave has plans to travel to Mozambique and Nigeria in the next few months. Pray for his financial, logistical, and spiritual preparations.

Dave and Lisa Wolf
New Hope Int’l Eastern Europe — Dave will be leading a team from our church to a Bible camp in Romania this summer. Pray for preparations for the camp. Also pray that their adopted son, Zach (12) would learn anger management.

Alexander (Sasha) Richenko
EFC Seminarian in Kursk, Russia — Sasha is now involved in youth ministry in a local church. With graduation looming, he is looking at the possibility of participating in a new church being planted by the Igorevskaya church after graduation. He asks for prayer for his ministry after graduation and also for his unbelieving brother.
