"Train up a child in the way he should go."

Proverbs 22:6

Teach children to know about God and His great love for them.  Ephesians 3:17-19

"So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God."

Relationship building with their Savior as well as other believers. Ephesians 2:18-19

"For through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household."

Advance their spiritual growth. Ephesians 4:15

"But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspect into Him, who is the head, even Christ."

Imitate Christ. Ephesians 5:1-2

"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."

Navigate their steps in a way that would be pleasing to God. Ephesians 4:1

"Therefore walk in a manner worthy of your calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
